Telecommunications Engineer

Job Number: TI-0087

Location: Washington Metro Area

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field

Full Time or Part Time: Full Time

Security Clearance: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)

Basic Experience:
Eight years of experience in telecommunications systems engineering and technology; telecommunication and network hardware operations; software applications; and programming in higher level languages.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs, and orders.
  • Provide in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for Government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts.
  • Develop telecommunications systems that supply agency-wide services for voice, data, video, and satellite transmissions.
  • Perform telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
  • Provide interface support to telecommunications end-users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management.
