Information Engineer

Job Number: TI-0081

Location: Washington Metro Area

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field

Full Time or Part Time: Full Time

Security Clearance: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)

Basic Experience:
Six years of experience in the IT field, including 3 years of direct experience developing functional and technical requirements for complex systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply an enterprise-wide set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design, and construction of information systems. 
  • Convert user requirements into functional and design requirements when drafting requirements for new systems development. 
  • Apply business process improvement practices using activity data modeling, transaction flow analysis, and internal control and risk analysis, and apply performance measurement techniques.
  • Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
  • Develop and apply organization-wide information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared software and database management systems.
  • Construct sound, logical business improvement opportunities consistent with information management guiding principles, cost savings, and open system architecture objectives. Provide daily supervision and direction to staff.
