Disaster Recovery Specialist

Basic Experience:
Six years of experience in disaster planning and business recovery in mainframe and client server platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plan to preserve the integrity of an organization.
- Work with information security specialists to conduct threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments, and recommend disaster recovery strategies of both the IT and critical infrastructures supporting the business processes.
- Evaluate the potential impact on the organization's business processes in relation to the information assurance and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans, create response procedures, and identify communication channels.
- Communicate with various response teams during testing and actual execution of recovery procedures and support the design, development, installation, implementation, and administration of backup solutions.
- Develop recommendations on system enhancements and design and administer programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
