Applications Engineer

Job Number: TI-0075

Location: Washington Metro Area

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field

Full Time or Part Time: Full Time

Security Clearance: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)

Basic Experience:
Eight years of progressive IT experience, including 6 years of hands-on experience in the planning, design, and development of application technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
  • Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation.
  • Translate detailed design into computer software.
  • Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Estimate software development costs and schedules.
  • Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. May serve as task order manager.
