Senior IT Technician

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field
Full Time or Part Time: Full Time
Security Clearance: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)
Basic Experience: Five years of progressive experience in software or hardware operations, including 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide lead level support for service desk/help desk, to include desktop computers and their peripherals, networks, servers, printers, and audio-visual equipment.
- Respond to requests and provide prompt primary assistance to customers; research unique technical issues and recommend solutions; delegate service desk assignments to other staff based on customer needs; maintain records of calls and written requests for service through the automated tracking system; and prepare periodic reports and summaries as needed.
- Provide support in computer operations, moving and installing equipment, computer cabling, data entry and verification, media duplication, document control, and software installation.
- Manage inventory using an automated asset management system.
- Populate Knowledge Management database.
