Reducing the Footprint
We Leave Behind

The increasing focus on businesses becoming more environmentally responsible has Powertek right on board to do the right thing. We are diligent about eliminating adverse environmental impact from our operations and promoting awareness to lessen the “footprint” we leave behind. And, we are diligently implementing practices that protect national resources and conserve energy.

Powertek is dedicated to:

Developing eco-friendly customer services and initiatives involving our employees.
Reducing carbon impact through increased energy efficiency and use of renewable fuels.
Reducing waste sent to landfills through recycling and employing alternative materials and disposal methods.

To demonstrate our commitment to honoring our environment, Powertek has implemented a program called PowerSave for our employees to learn and apply ways to minimize our environmental impact as a company.

All employees are encouraged to participate in our PowerSave program, which includes the following initiatives:

Reduce Paper Waste
Review drafts on screen, print drafts double-sided and in black and white, recycle paper, go paperless for meetings, etc.

Office Supplies
Reuse paper clips, folders, binders, etc.; use refillable pens, since disposable ones are not biodegradable and end up in landfills; turn off lights and electronics at the end of the day, etc.

Eliminate the Use of Disposable Cups and Plates
Use cups from home; bring your lunch in microwaveable safe dishes, etc.

Reduce Gas Expense
Carpool or take public transportation.

Food Storage
Choose glass or ceramic, which can be microwaved and refrigerated without the risk of leaking toxins, common with most plastics.

Recycling Bins
Use recycling bins to recycle paper, plastics, etc. By using eco-friendly products, promoting “green” operations, and maintaining a healthy environment, Powertek will reduce our carbon footprint and do our part to contribute to a sustainable global economy and to the well being of our employees, our business, and our customers.
