Powertek is committed to institutionalizing quality management throughout the organization to achieve the highest level of customer service. Powertek's organization and staff hold such industry and technical certifications as ISO, ITIL, PMP, and CMMI. More than 75% of our employees have earned technical and management certifications.


ISO 9001:2008
Powertek received ISO certification in 2005 based on an audit of our Quality Management System (QMS). We undergo comprehensive annual audits to maintain our certification. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization, the ISO 9000 series of standards provides a proven framework for processes that enables an organization to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer requirements.

ISO 9001:2008 enables Powertek to enhance customer satisfaction through:

(1) effective use of our QMS processes
(2) assurance of conformity to requirements
(3) continual improvement of our QMS processes.


Our ISO 9001:2008 registration scope currently covers all services provided to customers by Powertek across the entire company. This certification, in conjunction with our ISO QMS, speaks to the core of our company's quality policy and objectives. Utilizing our QMS, we adhere to established procedures; identify and resolve problems; and continually improve our processes and procedures to ensure that we employ best practices that meet the needs of our customers and employees.

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
85% of Powertek employees working in service desk functions are ITIL Practitioner and/or ITIL Foundation certified.

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes. Powertek's i3 Engineering Division is 100% Maturity Level 3 rated. Our implementation of CMMI practices decreases cost while increasing performance in schedules, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

PMP certification, established by the Project Management Institute (PMI), is one of the most valued and respected credentials in project management. This is why Powertek requires our Program Managers to earn and maintain PMP certification. By obtaining this certification, our Program Managers demonstrate a solid foundation of experience in effectively managing projects and delivering consistent results. Our customers benefit from effective management of cost, schedule, quality, scope, time, and risks.
