Powertek received CMMI Level 3 rating from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). We earned this CMMI rating through a Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) appraisal led by an SEI-authorized lead evaluator from Process Works.
The appraisal involved extensive reviews of Powertek's software development and project management processes, training, and tools. It provides requirements for service providers to establish a Service Management System of industry best practices in order to provide superior IT service to customers. Powertek implemented a Service Management System (SMS) aligned with ISO 20000 requirements and received ISO 20000 certification in 2013. We have deployed an integrated process approach that plans, establishes, implements, monitors, reviews, and continually improves the SMS. The Service Management System also aligns with our ISO 9001 Quality Management System and together provides unrivaled quality and service deliverables.
